At present, the common connection forms of aluminum alloy skeleton curtain wall beams in the domestic curtain wall industry are mainly divided into the following two types: 1. Angle piece connection; 2. Pin connection.

In addition to the above two common curtain wall beam connection methods, there are also a variety of non-mainstream curtain wall beam connection forms, and these structural forms have not been widely used in the industry for many reasons.

Among the many aluminum alloy glass curtain wall beam connection forms, the angle piece connection system is the most classic structural form. It has been most widely used in China for a long time. In order to be recognized in the industry, a connection system of curtain wall beams must have its corresponding advantages. For example, the angle piece connection system has the following advantages: simple structure, reasonable force, less material consumption, and convenient construction. But the corner connection system also has its drawbacks. At present, the commonly used angle connection system can also be roughly divided into two types:

1. an open beam

2. a closed cavity beam. The construction of the cavity beam is convenient, but its structural stress is poor, and the amount of profile is large; The amount of material used in the closed cavity beam is less, and the structural stress is better, but its construction is difficult (the horizontal and vertical keels must be installed at the same time).

In this paper, we will introduce a new type of aluminum alloy skeleton glass curtain wall beam connection method - "hanging shaft glass curtain wall beam connection system" (see Figure 1).
